Her story
Christina started out with humble beginnings, spending most of her adolescent years in a small town in Florida, but she was always dreaming of very big things. It was those very big dreams that brought her to New York City in March of 2014 where her fashion design journey officially began. She didn’t have the benefits of going to a prestigious fashion school so instead she developed her design and fashion business skills while working for corporations like The Limited, Macy’s Inc., Reunited Clothing, White House Black Market, and ONE Jeanswear Group.
Christina’s most recent project was working as the Denim Designer to launch Christian Siriano’s Denim Line in collaboration with Gloria Vanderbilt Jeans. Select designs were featured in February 2022 at New York Fashion Week in Christian Siriano’s Runway Show. Later the collection was bought by major retailers and sold at Macy’s, Belk, JCPenny, and Amazon in the Fall of 2022. Christina was excited about this collaboration and very proud of the work she produced. FOUNDER | Casual Piani
Christina was inspired by her travels to Italy and the local artisans that created beautiful materials using specialized techniques. She wanted to make these materials more accessible to her friends and family back home. Christina had imagined shopping the Italian leather market or local jewelry boutique but right here in America. So she decided to launch her first brand, Casual Piani, featuring jewelry and accessories. Piani, being the Italian word for plans, makes Casual Piani’s name American-Italian. Casual Piani brings Italy to you by utilizing materials made by local artisans and handcrafts them into unique pieces to purchase right here in the USA. Each piece is handmade by Christina utilizing 925 sterling silver, Murano glass, Italian leathers and/or velvet. Casual Piani supports Italy’s artisans by making their materials more accessible to Americans.
